L-net training committee meeting – Jan. 24, 2007
Present: Emily, Caleb; Lori, Loree, Deborah by phone
Training Report
Emily reported that she was supposed to do a training in West Linn but they had to cancel due to staffing shortages. They are still interested and already have two librarians staffing service.
Emily will go to Ashland March 1st and 2nd. 5 SOU librarians and 2 from JCLS are signed up. Publicizing in the SOLF newsletter, the editor had resigned so may not be able to get on listserv.
Emily asked if anyone at JCLS is interested in volunteering. Lori will ask around and have interested folks contact Emily.
Emily is trying to organize a meeting for the volunteers. This would be a combination of transcript evaluation and general questions about the software and service. She will use this meeting as a model for future trainings.
She is still trying to connect with Milwaukee high school librarian. May meet her one on one.
Emily heard from Beaverton library, they are interested in partnering.
Training Checklist
With the helpful feedback from Liisa at the Bend PL we decided the Checklist is ready to use.

• Next major software upgrade will be in May or June and then next fall for patron interface
