L-net Marketing Team
What We're Up To
General Information
We began with brainstorming in January 2005:
- Seeking advice from colleagues & professional marketeers ;)
- Researching how other digref is marketed successfully
- Getting L-net logo&link more prominently featured on current websites and added to new websites (both inside and outside library world)
- Distributing current bookmarks [e.g. Oregon Historical Society & Portland Art Museum shops, popular coffeehouses]
- Designing new promotional materials [bookmarks, posters, t-shirts, magnets]
- Creating a schedule of promotional opportunities (both inside and outside library world)
- Planning for specific events, e.g. Online Northwest, January OLA Board mtg, et al
- Seeking contacts in radio, print & other media for promotional opportunities
- Exploring ideas about additional queues
- Exploring idea about high-end promo kit that could rotate around libraries, a la the Frankenstein Exhibit, possibly with a party like the "Data & Dessert" idea that recently floated on Libs-OR
