Partner library liaison

Every L-net partner library designates a liaison to work with the L-net coordinator. This duties are:

The liaison shares information between library staff and L-net coordinators. What is working well? What is not? What information do you need from us?

We expect the liaison to schedule the library's shift with L-net and to let us know when scheduling changes are needed. Scheduling is done at least one month in advance. For example, the schedule for October will be set at the end of August.

The liaison makes sure library staff are aware of L-net policies, procedures and best practices.

The liaison is the contact point for feedback from the 24/7 cooperative. In the 24/7 cooperative, we answer questions for libraries all over the country, and since they answer questions for us. Occasionally, another library has provided negative feedback about the service that an L-net librarian has provided. It is rare, but if this happens, we will pass the feedback on to the liaison.

The liaison keeps the OCLC 24/7 Cooperative policy page up to date. The policy page helps librarians from outside of your library serve patrons from your community well. It is a quick reference for basic policies like hours, addresses and phone numbers and often contains information that your library staff would know but that you wouldn't necessarily want to put on a public web page, such as the default PIN number.

If sometimes a different person needs to be responsible for one or more of these tasks, that's ok too.
