Promoting L-net
Wild about L-net? Want to help spread the word?
Here are some resources to assist your efforts.
Thanks to the hardest working virtual reference marketing
team in Oregon, we
have made available the following promotional materials:
Academic libraries may wish to look at our list of ideas for promoting virtual reference in academic libraries.
Of course, you may order materials (for free) at any time.
Also keep an eye out for ads on public transportation in
Eugene, Medford, Portland and Salem.
Want to add an L-Net image to your library's home page, reference page, or catalog?
We've two kinds of images available:
- Images for web pages.
- Vector images, resizable for print materials.
How about linking to the service?
- The link to the L-net front page is www.oregonlibraries.net.
- The default link to the live chat service is www.oregonlibraries.net/chat
- If you are a school, please use the link to our Kids and Teens section, www.oregonlibraries.net/schools
- Academic libraries can link to our Academic queue, www.oregonlibraries.net/academic
When linking to L-net there are two options -- linking to the front page or linking directly to the live chat service.
Portland Community College uses a good combination of the two on their
ask a question page. See the Eugene Public Library's
link to L-net for another example.
