- L-net connects you to a librarian online through live chat or e-mail.
- L-net is available to people who live, work and go to school in Oregon.
- The service is free; it is funded by a grant from the Oregon State Library under the Library Services and Technology Act.
- L-net has answered over 110,000 questions since 2003.
- L-net answers 50-250 questions from Oregonians each day, and expects to answer over 30,000 this year
- 36 libraries in Oregon partner to provide live chat and e-mail referral service
- People typically ask for help researching things that they have difficulty finding on their own (though we'll try to help people with anything)
- Librarians are online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We achieve this thanks to L-net's Oregon partner libraries and with back up support from librarians in Ohio and Ohio's Knowitnow service
