Partner library responsibilities

L-net and partner libraries sign a service agreement so that we can each know what to expect from one another.

Partner libraries are expected to be responsible for:

• Answering e-mail questions or chat follow-up questions specific to their library collections and services, including circulation
• If the library is participating in live chat, answering questions on our live chat service
• If the library is participating in live chat, the library is responsible for covering scheduled shifts or else finding a replacement library to cover the shift
• If the library is participating in live chat, configuring at least one computer to use OCLC's QuestionPoint Flash Chat software
• Designating a liaison from the library to L-net
• Linking to L-net from the library website and promoting it as part of the library's services
• Interacting with other L-net partner libraries
• Telling Caleb, Emily or members of the L-net Advisory Board what is and is not working for you so that we may continue to improve L-net
