Question by buzz@oregonlibraries.net on Mon, 08/03/2009 - 12:43pm

I live in La Pine and am trying to do some research for my grandmother who lives in The Dalles. In La Pine we have the ability to download audio books directly to our computers and then to an MP3 player, is that something that can be done using your libraries web site as well?

librarian: hi Anonymous!
librarian: What library does your grandmother use?
anonymous: Hello, she would be using The Dalles Library (maybe called Wasco County Library). I thought when I accessed this chat from their website I would be speaking with them. I am not sure if you will be able to answer the question.
librarian: I work for Multnomah County Library, but I can probably help figure this out. I am looking at the Wasco Co. Library web site right now. just a moment...
anonymous: Thank you.
librarian: Yes, it looks like they use the same service we do - Library 2 Go: http://library2go.lib.overdrive.com/9FD6533A-C9EB-49D9-8408-E3212E4D806D...
librarian: There is a link on the right side of this page: http://www.wasco.plinkit.org/libraries/the-dalles-wasco
anonymous: Thank you so much I will take a look at it. I appreciate your help. I was wondering if you knew which devices where compatible with the program.
librarian: Yes, here's a list: http://www.overdrive.com/resources/drc/
anonymous: Thank again.
librarian: you're welcome! have a great day!
anonymous: You too!
librarian: bye!
