Im looking for some good pubplished or credible journals or articles on why bio-diesel may not be a good idea right now. I can use ebscohost through my library
librarian: hi again
librarian: I did not hear from you, sorry if you were not finished
anonymous: sorry about that I got really into the typing
librarian: if you can use the database that is a good place to find articles...
anonymous: Im just having trouble finding good articles
anonymous: Ive read about 30 now and not finding too much on what I need.
librarian: I was not finding much against it either. As long as you are trying various terms, you are probably finding what there is to find.
anonymous: is there anything on the internet some place else that would be relavant
anonymous: relevant*
librarian: what I was finding was rather basic. most was very in favor of its use. I could only find a short list of disadvantages.
librarian: like this government site
anonymous: I have accepted the Cobrowse invitation for http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/analysispaper/biodiesel/
anonymous: how there is not enough agriculture to feed the population and now we are going to use it for fuel
librarian: I am seeing nothing about that other than so many different organics are usable...no one seems to see a shortage possibility
anonymous: looks like I'm arguing the wrong side. But I don't have a choice so I'll have to come up with something
librarian: it will be a challenge, yes, I am still seeing optimistic reports...
librarian: even using algae.
librarian: north dakota thinks they grow sufficient crops...
anonymous: yea the algae is a really good thing, that is bad for my paper. The algae is not taking up agriculture space and they are working on what kind of algae to use so there is more oil production out of plant matter
anonymous: I have accepted the Cobrowse invitation for http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/analysispaper/biodiesel/
librarian: not to say this is entirely reputable, but they cite global warming as harming crop production, it might be an angle...
anonymous: very true but lots of the climate change and co2 outputs are just changing where the vegetation will grow. some places on equatorial-Africa some day might not get rain anymore but up in canada and Russia everything is going to change and they will actually benefit from it.
anonymous: or at least that is what the professor is telling us
librarian: doesn't sound good for your argument
anonymous: nope not at all
anonymous: but in all reality I can just have a completely biased paper and show the couple credible facts that I have
anonymous: its only a rough draft anyway
anonymous: might just have to interview my professor and use him as my source. and ask the right questions
anonymous: thanks for all your help Steve
librarian: "bullish for soybeans" heads one article
librarian: sorry there is not more to find
librarian: good luck though
anonymous: thanks
librarian: thanks for trying us anyway. Have a good morning.
